About St. Peter’s Lutheran School
St. Peter’s Lutheran School is a mission of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. The church organized in 1869. In 1872 the congregation began regular school classes. During the 2021-2022 school year, we celebrated our 150th year. God has blessed us in the past, and we are confident He will continue to bless us in the future.
The mission of St. Peter’s Lutheran School is to provide each student with a Christ-centered education offering a worldview that is founded in the Bible. Our purpose is that each student becomes equipped spiritually, academically, physically, and socially in a manner that would bring honor and glory to God.
St. Peter’s Lutheran School is a special school for many reasons. Among them are:
*Jesus is here. Our school is really all about Jesus. We have religion class each day where we study God’s Word. We want to know Jesus, and know about Him. He is a part of each of our classes. We like to say that Jesus is in every class, every day. We hold each other accountable, but we also share the forgiveness that Jesus earned for us with each other.
*Small class sizes. This means teachers are able to get to know the students and families individually and to help the students.
*Family atmosphere. Most of our students have been together for many years. All of the students know all of the other students – even preschoolers! We have “Chapel Family” groups that put students from all grades together. The students know each other, care for each other, and watch out for each other.
*Solid academics. Our MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) scores demonstrate that our students achieve (even after COVID-19) at, or generally well above, the national average. If you’d like details, contact the school office.
If you’d like a tour of our facilities, or have more questions, call or e-mail us and we’d be happy to meet with you!
